Ben M, in fact, this model (FROG F156\F223) is more similar to the prototype of the Fokker D.XXI than to the production version.

Apparently, I'll have to fork out for a Japanese or German airbrush. I'm tired of "fighting" with the Chinese airbrush. 🙂

It's one of the tools that is worth it. I have an H&S and it is much easier to get a good result than with my Paasche. I wish I'd got an Iwata though as there is local parts availability, so I don't have to deal with internet and shipping nonsense.

Here are the first photos of my new project: I upgraded the cockpit with PE parts from Eduard. The nozzles and air intakes come from ResKit and are miles better than the kit parts.

Thank you gentlemen for the motivating words. Here are a few pictures of the current condition of the Rafale. While the aircraft itself is still in a completely innocent white, the additional tanks look a little more interesting. I didn't do any preshading because I think it would look a bit excessive on a completely repainted aircraft. But a panelline wash is a must. I've already done this for the additional tank in the foreground, all that's missing is a semi-matt clear coat.
