Very nice work on the engine and interior.

Thanks 👍

That is a beautiful DB and cockpit. I thought the Dragon kit was good but this one blows it away.

John, it is absolutely fantastic and having built a tamiya 1/32 spit earlier this year, dare I say this ZM kit is better 👌

I am enjoying this build with interest (have this nice kit) but with all the things you can spruce up I thought the ignition wires would be last on your list.

Lots of work for zero gain. If it was a conventional V engine then I could understand but not here. You cannot see them

The cockpit is impressive but was there the dreaded AM added? If so it should be included in the album

Hi Trez, thanks, no aftermarket in the cockpit all OOB. As for the injection pipes just had some wire so thought I would have a go at replicating them, I guess the gain is the pleasure of building and trying new things.

I see cockpit placards? To me at least that is AM. As for trying new things - you might want to look at some pictures of the engine. There is a rather obvious pipe that comes off the crank case blow valve which sits on top as we see it (a cone shaped object).

ZM decided not to include this due to the cowling not fitting on top.

And that's my point. If you fit the cowling you can't see the engine whether you know it's there or not. I think the idea is to convince the viewer that those things which cover the unseen are indeed there

Ps yes, I meant injection pipes

I agree Dec. It's always nice to try new things and get the pleasure out of the expirience. Keep on with the good, work 👍.

Hey John, the Dragon kit is good but in another guise it's also much cheaper kit than ZM. It can be built up just as well

Yep, built the Hobby 2000 version a while back. Went all closed up on it so didn't need to bother with engine bits. Definitely cheaper!

great work Dec - had a quick look into the manual and the cockpit placards seem to come with the kit 👍

Hi Trez, The kit comes with the two cockpit dash panels that you can see in the images I've added. I painted and decaled both to see which looked best. And if you look at the built up cockpit you will see that I actually went with the decals not the placard, so no after market in the cockpit.

Hi Dec, my bad - it didn't occur to me that those side wall decals would be included. No need for placards. However, the breather pipe missing from top (as we see it - less some smart as says it's the bottom!) of engine is very obvious - not at all difficult to add though.
At least you have got this beast down from the shelf to breath life into it.
