Jaguar E-Type with headlights (maybe taillights?)

As usual with these kits, all the parts needed varying amounts of clean up, but I enjoy that bit in a strange way
![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/1/7/1/1631171-124766-64-720.jpg)
Things never fit together as well as you hope they will, but this looks OK
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/1/7/3/1631173-124766-57-720.jpg)
I'm hoping I can fit some thin wires in between these door cards and the outer bodyshell, but that might be hoping too much, we'll see...
![Album image #4 Album image #4](/albums/img/1/7/4/1631174-124766-99-720.jpg)
I need to make the sub-assemblies and then fit them so I can work out where the electrical bits go. Then paint some bits and hopefully fit things in without mucking it up too much
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/1/7/5/1631175-124766-49-720.jpg)
My first thought on location. The battery would be very visible here and mean I couldn't fit the seats.
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/1/7/6/1631176-124766-27-720.jpg)
Trying to see if the battery will sit either here or inside the sub-frame cleanly, and it does, so that's better. It was at this point that I realised I can't put the charging circuit there as it won't be possible to charge it, because the wheel and the body will be in the way, so more thinking needed!
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/1/7/7/1631177-124766-18-720.jpg)
The charging circuit fits cleanly here though, I will just need to glue it very solidly, so it doesn't come away when it is used to charge
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/1/7/8/1631178-124766-17-720.jpg)
I need to cut the black bits away for the charging port
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/1/7/9/1631179-124766-74-720.jpg)
Test fit with battery and charging circuit in place
![Album image #10 Album image #10](/albums/img/1/8/0/1631180-124766-73-720.jpg)
You can see the battery here; it fits fine and will be blocked by the dashboard, which is the worst piece in the kit, but ho-hum...
![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/1/8/1/1631181-124766-55-720.jpg)
Now I need to work out where the switch goes and try to fit some wires and possibly some resistors in somewhere...
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/6/1/8/1631618-124766-65-720.jpg)
I've decided to site the switch here, behind the seats, It will be seen if you look, but it won't be that obvious.
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/6/1/9/1631619-124766-96-720.jpg)
I just need to be careful when switching it on and off, and use both hands.. Let's face it, this won't be done much, all of this is just a bit of fun...
![Album image #14 Album image #14](/albums/img/6/2/0/1631620-124766-73-720.jpg)
I did toy with the idea of placing a piece of styrene behind the seats, but once everything including the roof is painted I don't think it'll matter too much. I'm going to have to leave this for a bit now, will come back at the weekend, and start trying to think about the wires.
![Album image #15 Album image #15](/albums/img/2/1/8/1638218-124766-75-720.jpg)
Very mild update; a few sundries painted while I wait to receive some thin electrical wire, which I've just realised won't arrive before I go away for a week, so this won't get attention until later this month...
![Album image #16 Album image #16](/albums/img/7/0/5/1646705-124766-60-720.jpg)
Another mild update, back from holiday, wire and some electrical connectors (that I think may be too big to fit, I need to try them and see) and some painting done. I just need to find some time to put it back together and add the electrical components and see how much soldering I can try to avoid...

![Album image #18 Album image #18](/albums/img/1/4/9/1651149-124766-22-720.jpg)
![Album image #19 Album image #19](/albums/img/1/5/0/1651150-124766-11-720.jpg)
Some more progress, pretty much everything painted (correctly, now I think, I did some bits black that should be red first time...) trying to get the headlights in place; I bought some little connectors in an attempt to avoid soldering wires together, but they may not fit, so I got bored and stopped for a bit...
![Album image #20 Album image #20](/albums/img/1/5/1/1651151-124766-94-720.jpg)
I'll pick it up once I've worked out if the connectors will fit or not, otherwise it's time for the soldering iron...

Hi Alessandro - I get LEDs from eBay - Bright Components have everything you might need. The batteries I also buy on eBay, just search for 3.7v lithium polymer battery and you should find plenty in different MAh ratings. The charging circuits I usually get on Amazon, but I bet you could also get them on eBay as well; Hayatec TP4056 are the ones I have been using... 😉

Looks good and waiting to see result but why such a big battery (300mAH) for LED's?

To be fair Gary, I bought half a dozen ages ago and I am too cheap to get more appropriate ones!
