I mainly do 1:72 models for the aircraft (single engine, some two engine, rarely three). My collection has grown enough to be a display storage concern... Minicraft is not around anymore, but they had a several 1:144 models.

Nice work on the Lancaste. I only a couple of 1/144 from minicraft, the most crude and simple detail I have seen.... really far from what Sweet, Platz or Eduard can deliver in the same scale. of course sometimes therecare not many options out there.....

Thank you Spanjaard,
Like I said, I went to 1:144 to save space when building larger aircraft. I did a 1:144 ME109 Eduard earlier. There is little detail here. The fuselage windows were bright blue decals but I toned them down with wash. The guns are too short. Much learned if I were to make the model again, which I will not...

I did some research on this particular aircraft just now. It was made late in the war at Victory Aircraft in Malton Ontario Canada. It did not see action, so it may not have been weathered as much as I made it. My father in law worked at Victory Aircraft and most likely worked on this very one.. Which also means the box art is bogus! 🙂

Re: My bogus comment, it seemed there were two NA S Lancs. One was lost in action earlier in the war (probably the box art), and a newer Lanc made in Canada had the same call letters.
