Mitsubishi Ki-21
All the parts that came in the kit. Took this picture after I put the fuselage and wings together.
Some gaps on the engines and were the wings and fuselage meet but nothing too bad. Also, there were no parts for the interior of the fuselage.

My first time trying this pre-shading effect.
I'm very happy with the Canopy results. I carefully brush-painted it and used a toothpick to remove any mistakes.
I painted the plane with its main color(IJN light grey Tamiya) but I put a little too much to where the pre-shading is not very visible.
Almost done with the camouflage. Brush painted it. First time painting a camouflage like this. Still need to paint a second layer maybe a third if necessary over all the spots.
I've been experimenting with painting on the insignias and other symbols instead of using the decals. And especially for this kit since the decals are very old and I feel like they would break easily. This was an easy kit to make masks for since it's pretty much all circles. For any lettering or too complicated symbol, I will use the decals.
Here is the finished camo. Since this was my first time brush painting any camo, I was worried it was going to look bad but I am satisfied with the results. However, I redid the right wing camo because I originally painted it too big compared to the left wing. So I resprayed the gray and repainted the camo.
Some paint dropped on the wing when I was working on it. I was able to wipe most of it away and repaint the spot. I still need to repaint the gray.
The roundels are painted on along with the tail rudder symbol. I used Tamiya flat red and Mr primer white. I still need to paint on the white fuselage band and the front wing yellow identification markings.
I wanted to make the red in the white rounder smaller but my circle-cutting tool could not go that small.
There are some touch-ups I will get to after I paint everything else on.
All done with the markings! Still have to do some touch-ups and then gloss coat for the oil paint wash
I did an oil paint wash.
The completed build.
To finish it off, I painted a flat clear, did a little dry brushing, and glued the canopies and antenna.

Nice camouflage, works good, difficult to see the plane against the cutting mat
