The engine bay received some extra details. I added the ignition wiring, I improved the shock absorbers and I replaced the white metal engine struts by thinner metal rods.

This is how the completed chassis looks like. Complete length: 7,5cm.
The body was clearcoated and left to dry. Next I added the front suspension and the rear torsion bar.

The wheels and tires are almost ready. They still need some sponsor logo's (GoodYear).
Far from finished, but I can't resist to try a dryfit with the parts available. Looking not too bad I think.

The chassis and body have been merged, which allows me to complete the suspension parts and the supports everywhere.

Close-up of the engine. Once the wheels will be fixed, a lot of the detail will go lost... But that's part of the game of course 😉

The tires received the sponsor logos and the centre wheel nuts.
Here the wheels are fixed to the McLaren. This is the moment when I screw the whole model to the baseplate to align the wheels and to finish the model without having to touch the car with dirty fingers...
The final assembly is near. All what's left to do is fix the rear view mirrors, the windscreen, and some retouching paintwork. The rear spoiler has to be fixed as well.

Guy GolsteynOnce the paint has dried I start the decalling job. First I fix the orange striping to make sure all the other sponsors fit well in between. I let the body dry for a few hours and then I continue with the main sponsor decals. I also fix the rear wing with decals. The 'Yardley' stripes on the nose have to be cut in order to fit the large air scoop, revealing the white bottom of the scoop because there is not enough decal to cover it. This is fixed with some paint and a fine brush. Finally I do a dryfit with the wheels in place to see how the complete picture looks. So far so good.
