Danke schön! Das mit dem Sonderpreis war jetzt wirklich reiner Zufall. Ich wollte den Wal immer schon mal bauen und dachte mir nimm doch mal etwas Älteres für den Wettbewerb. Ich mag die alten Huma Kits nun mal...😉

Kannst du feststellen, wie alt der Bausatz ist? Falls er Baujahr 1979 oder älter ist, könntest du dich damit auch in der Kategorie A4 Aircraft vintage anmelden. Dafür gibt es ein paar spezielle Regeln. Siehe hier: scalemodeltrophy.eu/category_a4.htm

So weit ich weiß ist der Bausatz 1991 erschienen. In den 70 zigern gab es Huma wohl noch gar nicht. Aber der Tipp mit der Kategorie A4 hat was. Ich habe da noch so ein paar Raritäten von Heller und Du bringst mich da gerade auf eine Idee...

Ich habe gerade auf dem Karton meines Wal´s nachgesehen. Dieser hat eine fünfstellige Postleitzahl des Herstellers. Ist also 1993 oder später produziert. Bin schon gespannt auf Deine Bilder...

@Hanno: Ich hatte da eher mehr an den Lufthansa "Monsun" gedacht. Hast aber Recht. Eigendlich müsste man das Teil 4X bauen. Jede Variante hat Ihren Reiz. Ich brauche dann nur noch 3 zusätzliche Bausätze... und die sind leider eher rar gesäht.

Stimmt, bei 30€ ist bei mir auch Schluß. Es wundert mich sowieso das bislang niemand die Huma Formen zu neuem Leben erweckt hat.

@ Holger: So abwegig ist das nicht. Die Formen sind zu verkaufen. Wenn jetzt noch jemand zufällig ne Spritzgußmaschine über hat kann das so losgehen. Platz für das Ding habe ich wohl.

Aber wäre es nicht einfacher die Formen einfach an einen namhaften Hersteller zu verleihen und zu sagen: Mach mir 1000 Stück dann darfst Du 100 behalten! (jetzt nur mal als Beispiel)

Many thanks Roland! There will be no red outlines, because I think that they are wrong. I stressed the internet for pictures and videos, but could not find any source which show these lines. Huma wants You to paint the lower fuselage and wings in silver, but I don't believe this. If there is anybody out there who has any additional information about the paint job of a Wale, most welcome 🙂

@ Thomas: If You see one, grab it! They are hard to get. The fit of the parts is okay, only minor issues to deal with. The worst thing are the decals. They are useless due to their age. But there is Mr. Peddinghaus who created a new sheet for me and everybody else as well. 🙂

@ Marcel: Danke! Immer wenn ich kompliziertere Sachen baue, wie derzeit den 48 ger UHU, muss auch mal Abwechslung her. Dann schiebe ich wohl mal einen Huma Bausatz dazwischen. Ich mag die Dinger eben 🙂

@ Marcel: Der Vogel baut sich ohne Probleme. Der einzige Tip den ich Dir geben kann ist erst die Rumpfhälften zu verkleben und dann das komplette Cockpit von oben einzubauen. Dann passt das besser. Ansonsten keine bösen Überraschungen.

Today`s progress. Dipped the canopie into Future and masked it with Tamiya Tape. Glued the canopie in place. Time to finish the paint job on the fuselage.
