Main changes are blanked off turret and changed nose wheel.
During the refit I also took off the propellers, repainted them with an airbrush and added original decals from the Dragon's box.
Earlier nose wheel, antennas are from the etching included in the Dragon's kit. I also upgraded the nose - new paintjob with an AB and decals from the box.
Walk lines were also replaced by the kit's original decals. I used the same techniques as 4 years ago to keep the look consistent.
Though it was tempting to make it all over with an AB and all the stuff I learnt through the years. Belly antennas are etching from the kit.
I also added a radar assembly from the original kit. Nose is held in place by a small amount of tack-it.
This one is true OOB - only EZ-Line is added. Other parts are what was in the original Dragon's release. However - a large portion of it was omitted in the Bilek's reboxing.
To be honest - it wasn't bad earlier. But I thought at last, that it's not very accurate with the turret and all the stuff...
Propellers were also a little more plain back then.
It was a little easier to weigh it down with the nose closed for good. But the antennas were so-so.
I liked the Widow from back then. But now I like even more!

Bernd Grün Nice and clean build. Congratulation! 👍
This model has some years under its belt, as I first built it around 2011.
It's now considered "retired" as this one travelled to and fro, even winning some diplomas 🙂
As a relatively old build - techniques are rather basic, with no weathering and some imperfections in the model itself.
At the time - I wanted a Black Widow and I didn't want it (ironically) black. And to me - a P-61 back then wasn't completed without a gun turret. And that's the second part of the pictures 🙂
What you can see on the main pictures is its "lifted" version - after laying my hand on and earlier P-61A by Dragon from Golden Wings series I found myself with some nice parts, that I refitted to this old model to make it scheme-accurate.
What I took off this plane - is saved for a new and nice P-61B in black.
