I tend to hand paint all the smaller detail parts on the sprues before snipping them off and touching them up and then building into lots of sub assemblies
to the left of the picture the V4 engine has been put into the frame, bottom right the 4 exhaust expansion chambers painted and assembled and to the top of the picture the rear swingarm assembly
rear shock absorber fitted and am following the Tamiya painting guidlines until I practice a few new detailing techniques off of some of the pro's I have been watching on youtube, I'm getting there with my detail painting though
what a beasty of a bike this would have been in real life, you might just be able to make out the fairing and tank top left of the picture all painted up and ready for decals, ignore the yellow stuff as I had another build running at the same time
Ok front end on and still loving the build front mudguard is Italian red TS28 from Tamiya, also added the basic rev counter and temperature guage decals
I have all the body panels beautifully sprayed using Tamiya TS-26 pure white but hit the decal gremlins so the build stops here for now....To be continued..........
Abosolutely loved the build on this bike with the nice detailing etc, got all the bodywork sprayed up just nice and then got to the goddam awful really thick Tamiya decals which are murder to work with and have been at it for nearly a month with decal softners etc, going to have to touch up some of the decals with paint so what turned out to be a very promising build has dissapointed me somewhat with the poor quality decals.
Not an expensive kit, it retails at around £25.00.
I have all the pictures here from the original box opening right up untill the bodywork then it stops (until I get the decalling sorted) To be continued..........
