Kettenkrad HK 101 from ESCI @ 1975 - Build
Been a while since a added pictures. Got the battery, posts and wires just right
That allowed me to finally glue the right side battery compartment and fuel tank into position
Engine under construction next 3 photos
scratch building fuel pump from one of the models hose clamps
added some brass rod to hold the fuel lines
Added a platform for the fuel pump
Did a little surgery on the coolant pipes and hoses. Will add hose clamps from model motor cars
Changed the hoses to a thinner walled hose from Model Motor Cars along with the clamps. Better fit and look.
Next step is to finish the piping and touch up the paint
Motor Essentially complete. Coolant pipes, hoses and clamps finished
Will have to do some surgery on the radiator housing to get the pipes to fit and look right.
Spark plugs, distributor and fuel pump came out well. Have to add the fuel line to the engine from the tanks
Finished one set of tracks. This is the test-fit. Suspension works. Now to paint and weather the tracks and start on the next set.
Just a glimpse of what it is shaping up to look like. Test fit tracks, engine radiator housing, hood, drivers seat and dash assembly.
Right front oblique view. That one set of tracks represents about 60 hours filing and fitting. 42 track links with 42 tread caps.

Album info
I accidentally deleted the 22 pictures I had so I am reloading them. I started this build in the Nov/Dec timeframe last year. From Jan 14, I had been working on Steps 1, 2, and 3 in th instructions. Since then, I have worked on the engine, transmission, radiator housing, front panel. I have primed much of the model, Mr. Surfacer 1200 rattle can. and have started painting the interior and major subassemblies. I had initially used Vallejo Dunkel Gelb, but decided to overpaint that with Desert Yellow, which is more tan.
