Main fuselage base and canon put together
The original solid fuselage/cockpit
Front of the main fuselage cut into 3 pieces
Main body hollowed out with a dremel and chisels
Interior lined with a skin of syrene
Some simple new seats built from styrene
Central wall between the cockpits installed and nose piece glued back on
Some details on the back wall (which are completely lost in the final as they are concealed by the pilots)
New cockpit front pieces built from styrene sheet and strip
Cockpit dash pieces made from styrene sheet
Front on view of the completed cockpit before the new front pieces were installed
New front pieces and glazing installed
All the main pieces painted
And all glued together, waiting for weathering

This is a project I've been working on for some time but finally finished. It is the Fantastic Plastic resin kit of the T-16 Skyhopper (the model Luke was playing with in the original Star Wars). The only change I made to the kit was to hollow out the fuselage and install a new scratch-built cockpit, with glazing and some figures (although you can't really see them in the photos).
