It's OK, Not a lot of detail. Great kit for a beginner pretty simple. Don't much care for it molded in red,if your not going for the TV car, I would recommend the regular Torino kit. rating it a 4 out of 10.

Mmm, I wonder what you would do with a 10 out of 0 kit.....I like it!

nice result indeed 🙂.
so you recommend to get a different Torino? any suggestions?
I can always mask the white line and paint the rest in red 🙂

i wonder... the box that you used, seem to have a skill level 2, but the later ones seem to have skill level 4, although they are supposed to be just a rebox.... would it be possible that the time line is not correct or that they increase the skill level with although is the same kit?

The reason it doesn't get a higher rating is it's not a law enforcement vehicle I bet 😛 lol What color for the red? it looks sparkly.

Revell changed the "skill level" scale a few years ago, thus the change in all the boxes. The TV version of the Torino has the accurate License plates, single police light radio. The other Torino kit is more true to a stock Ford Torino and molded in all white. The later is Red,Black and other. And i would recommend Masking the strip, learned too late that they don't always line up accurately, kinda hit and miss with them.
@ Chris- I would take this any day of the week over my frumpy Charger ! It got a 4 just because it just lacks in detail and if memory recalls,I had this done in a day. But I loved this car as a kid and love making the famous Movie/TV Cars.

I'm with you, Mr. Hall. Simple kit but I thought it turned out good. I wasn't happy with the decals, either. I think if I was to build it again, painting the stripe would be the way to go.

Apparently David Soul called it that the moment he set eyes on it.
My favourite TV car is the General Lee.
Favourite movie car is the Pursuit Special Interceptor from Mad Max l

Ford XB Falcon 2dr sedan
I don't like the car from the second movie. With the huge fuel tanks in the boot.
Everyone likes that version.
I like the sleek shiny one in the first movie.
I had a road going replica of the Interceptor Ford XA Falcon 4dr sedan that is chasing the Holden HQ coupe Pursuit Special Interceptor the Night Rider is driving in the opening scenes of the movie back in the eighties.
I should have kept that car. Be worth an absolute fortune now

That's the updated box one, I was looking at that one and the regular Ford Torino with the Blue one on the box, the above one list 88 parts molded in RED,BLACK and CLEAR parts and has the large rear tires and raised suspension. Blue box one list 93 parts and molded in all white parts, stock size tires, lower stock suspension and the hubcap style wheels. Guess what ever one your going for would determine which kit to get TV car or Stock Ford Torino. The TV one has the correct Licence plates and the CB Radio and single bubble gum light.
