1/48 REVELL EA-6B PROWLER 001
BB cockpit after removing a lot of material
A lot of material needs to be removed to get the BB pit fit, also some notches were added to get around the intakes.
Kit wings molded by Revell are identical to the A-6E kit, so they need to be corrected by the Cutting Edge set
The correction wing set from Cutting Edge provides the upper wings only, which means a lot of check fitting to get it to line up. The Wolf Pack set I believe provides the entire wing which speeds up the process. The Cutting Edge set is pretty straight forward. Wolfpack also has a conversion as well.
So far the directions have you sand away all the areas indicated by the black marker. The directions to my recollection don't mention the trailing edges of the wings. They are quite thick and need to be thinned a bit to look better. As far as the top and bottoms of the wing you just have to be careful on how much you grind off. Leave a little on the top so you can wet sand it to the proper level so you don't make indentations.

Removing the armored areas of the wing which were not on the EA-6B.
Fitting looking good.

I have the same Cutting Edge set, so I'm curious to see how this goes.
