Tiger 1 - Exploded View
Most of the components assembled, just the internal stencils to arrive.
Barrel completed once instructions found online.
1st stage construction completed and ready for painting.
Painted a layer of Tamiya Nato Black in preparation for a base layer of the grey the germans used as primer on their tanks prior to changing to red oxide.
Over sprayed the barrel and breech with A.Mig 210 to represent the primer used. The spent cartridge bag painted olive green (A.Mig 002), the machine gun painted gun metal (A.Mig 045), and the sights painted satin black (A.Mig 032).
Parts of the cannon completed and ready for joining and weathering
Close up of breech. Various photos show different paint schemes so gone with silver breech, black safety handle and brass plate on top of the breech.
Gun breech completed. Fit was good with no construction issues.
Stage 1 completed, now for the turret roof.
Started the turret ceiling. Parts ready for initial primer
Completed underside of turret roof
Added a few extra non kit parts such as the loaders and commanders hand grips made from metal wire and the security bar across the gun securing grabs, also made of wire and spare PE.
Also added the internal roof wiring for the smoke discharges from 0.1mm copper wire and plastic tubing.

Thanks Spanjaard, it's a fun model so far. Next stage the turret roof itself.

Hi Andy, I have this kit too, but not sure what paint to use. Are you able to share what paint you used for the interior please? As I do like the creamy white you have got. Thanks.

Hi Jonathan, yes, no problem. I used Ammo's 0017 cremeweiss. It is RAL9001 if you are using another manufacturer.
