Online sources say the F-104 cockpit is FS36231 . I painted it with Humbrol 140, which is suppose to be the the FS equivalent. I think it looks a little too dark, but hopefully with the detail painting it will look correct.
I have never built a Hasegawa kit before, and so far the fit is good and the detail very nice. The rear fuselage went together well, with just a bit of sanding to remove the seam line.

The kit includes the Lockheed C-2 Ejection Seat, but the Royal Danish Air Force changed the seats to Marten-Baker Mk. Q7.
Can't find any 1/72 aftermarket seats…
Fuselage together, wings on. It was a fairly quick and easy assembly.
Starting to look like a Starfighter!

First coat of Tamiya AS-13 on. I really like how the Tamiya goes down, very smooth.
Any details photos of the ID light Vjekoslav? I know Canadian F-18s have a big light mounted on the forward fuselage.

If you have PaulusVictor Dirty Danes decals instructions, you have one small photo of the searchlight there.
For more, give me your email, I will try to find them

The only issue I have had so far with this kit… the air intakes have a gap that needs a bit of putty.
Made the interception light, but think I need to make it a bit smaller to fit under the rear canopy.

Nice, did you find a good photos of this light?

Couldn't find any photos of the identification lights - other than the one in the Dirty Danes Decal instructions - so my addition is a 'best guess'.
Most pictures I have seen of RDAF F-104 have the aircraft is fitted with 'centerline catamaran' missle rails. Frustratingly, the kit instructions don't go into any detail on how to mount them. Will have to do a bit more research.
In September 1971, Denmark purchased 15 CF-104 from Canada. The RDAF upgraded these aircraft and replaced the original Lockheed C2 Ejection Seat with the Martin Baker GQ 7A Ejection Seat.
I ordered an Aires resin replacement seat from Rebell Hobby of Sweden (great customer service from Max - definitely recommend!) and will use the kit seat in a different F-104 project.
I need to do a bit of paint touch-ups on the gear doors, then should be ready for decalling!

Working on the Aires aftermarket GQ-7A Ejection Seat. Never used PE before, and to mis-quote a certain Australian podcast - "Photo-Etch is Not my friend"…
Managed to lose only one piece so far, just the seat belt handle.

The aftermarket Ejection Seat had to have the base trimmed a bit to fit in the cockpit. Now the canopy closes!
Finished the decalling. Was procastinating because the tail numbers had to be applied individually (the joys of making a specific aircraft!) but they went on better than expected.
Sprayed on a Semi-Gloss coat to tie everything together.
Complete!

Album info

In 1964, the Royal Danish Air Force procured 25 single-seat F-104G Starfighter manufactured by Canadair and four two-seat trainer TF-104G from Lockheed built via the Mutual Aid Program (MAP) from the United States for its two fighter squadrons Eskadrille 723 and 726 at Aalborg. They replaced the outdated North American F-86D "Sabre" in the Air Defense role. The first 10 aircraft were delivered to the Eskadrille 726 on December 19, 1964, there were eight more F-104G and two TF-104G delivered. Another five F-104G followed. The training at the Eskadrille 726 began on December 22, 1964 with the official commissioning of the squadron at Aalborg.
