TIE Defender Elite
Parts for the main body printed
Wings printed - used a different resin with less shrinkage.
Extra parts from the spares box - cockpit walls and floor from Revell, Glazing from Bandai
Starting on the upgrades - cockpit tub glued together and sanded to fit the #D print, seat has had its base sanded off so it can be glued to the new floor. Interior section of the printed canopy frame cut out, to be replaced by glass from Bandai, which has had the outside frame sanded off. Top hatch has been sanded flush on the bottom.
Bandai glass glued to printed outside frame. I wanted to keep the outside frame as it is the wider version seen in the cartoon, rather than the movie version as on the Bandai kit.
Revell cockpit painted, weathered and glued in to rear ball half. Printed pilot and control column also glued in.
Front half of ball also painted and weathered, and cockpit glass glued on.
Cockpit halves glued together, seams filled and side greeblies and hatch cover glued on.
Interior colour sprayed over the clear parts
Wing parts cleaned up and the panels sprayed matt black
Wing panels masked and glued to the fuselage
Model primed in white ready for the red markings
Red applied, now for a lot of masking

Album info
The TIE Defender Elite, as seen in Season 4 of the Star Wars: Rebels cartoon, based on #D printable files sold by JakkuSalvage on Etsy. The interior is pretty basic, so I will add one from a Revell TIE Fighter kit, and the canopy and top hatch has no glass, so I will replace with spares from a Bandai TIE Fighter.
