1954-1962 Algerian War of Independence

This was, to the best of my knowledge, solely a COIN operation conducted by the French against the Algerian peoples seeking to throw off their status as a colony & to seek their own path forward as a nation. Both sides performed many atrocities in those 8 years but ultimately the men & women on both sides fought for their respective country - which is something worth remembering.
