During the war, the Salvadoran Corsairs' camouflage pattern was hastily modified by applying tan or olive green splotches, usually by hand. Also, shortly after the ceasefire, yellow identification bands were painted on all military aircraft, in order to reduce the 'friendly fire' incidents.
