M1 Abrams My First Build

Ran into my first roadblock - as I removed a piece off the sprue it thought it had wings and flew and disappeared. Its an important piece on the turret that helps holding the commander hatch in place. So I decided to contact Tamiya and see what they can do. This was their response: "Unfortunately, kit 35124 has been discontinued for over 30 years and parts are no longer available. However, I do have a similar part from the current kit, please forward your U.S. mailing address and I’ll send it out at no charge; and hopefully it works-out for you."

First - I knew I had the kit a long time - not over 30 years tho! Secondly, enjoying the build. This will also mark one of the first times I am using an airbrush. I will post pics as I progress....
