My plan is to construct four aircraft that took part in the 1969 'Soccer War' between El Salvador and Honduras.
1. F-51 Cavalier Mustang - El Salvador 403 using BB resin conversion (will keep the wingtip tanks).
2. F-51 Mustang -El Salvador AF 406
3. F4U Corsair - Honduras AF 609 armed with napalm and rockets.
4. F4U Corsair- Honduras AF 606.
5. T-28 Trojan - Honduras AF 216? armed with gun pods

Hi Stefan, I did see those decals listed by Hannants under Future Releases. They look great, and I have got a Trojan but intended to build it in VNAF colours. So I probably won't get them though as I already have the old Delta Decals set. Thanks!

It was a nil-nil tie.. with it resulting in a status quo ante bellum (the state in which things were before the war)

I just picked up another Heller T-28 so will add this to the mix, probably using the spare set of Honduran decals. Maybe I should pick up the DP Casper set after all...

Hi Justin, how is your project going? I'm working at my old Corsair (Matchbox, in the 80s completed as a USMC plane). Nearly finished repainting, looking forward to put the decals on. It will be the FAH plane of Capt. Soto. The next will be probably a Mustang of El Salvador.

Hi Peter, I got distracted pretty much right away and didn't make any progress other than modifying one of the F-51s with the Cavalier Mustang parts. I put the project on hold - one day I'll get back to it! In the meantime I will watch your one with interest

Hi Carlos, I think I also got the decals from Blackbird models in the UK, but I'm not sure they are still available. As you can see from Peter's project, DP Casper [dpcasper.cz/obtisky72019.html have got a much more comprehensive decal sheet, which is likely to be easier to find. Cheers, Justin
