After my 1/144 scale Eurofighter build, I wanted to do something relaxing. Heard many good recommendations about this kit and being a tamiya kit, it should be a fairly quick and easy build. I do not plan on making many modifications but lets see how it goes. I was playing with the thought of adding more rivets since this kit is lacking alot of them. There are three variants and I choose the E7 from 7/JG 26 flown by Major Joachim Muencheberg in the siege of Malta.
One reason why I chose this variant is because its the most standard BF 109 scheme and I want to try mottling.
Another reason is this being the first of the 109 variants to be able to carry a detachable flue tank. This upgrade would have been a game changer in the air battle of Britain and thus there is alot of background story to this version.
