Been thinking about picking this one up to compare against the old Monogram offering.

Hi Bruce
I do not know the Monogram kit, but in my opinion the new Devastator from GWH its "good value for money".
You get photo-etched parts, masks (they're not as good as Eduard masks but ok) and quality mouldings and impeccable fineness.
But there are two kits.
The Wake Island version has the previous marking-version (with the red-white stripe tail or an aluminum body with yellow wings), no torpedo(!) its the bomber version.
The only thing is the open canopy .... somehow .... it doesn't work. It's to thick. But they offered a closed canopy as well so its no big deal.
