Our First Build

First Build for my wife, daughter and I after being out of the hobby for most (if not all) of my adult life. Turned 50 this year and decided to work a model and had so much fun with this one that my daughter picked out at hobby lobby.

Some notes about the model

-We gently sanded (not water the model out of the box on the body and larger parts)
-applied a light coat of testors primer
-about 2 or so starter coats of the tamiya pink followed by 2 wet coats and then one wet coat of testors clear
-hand painted all other parts, bottom of the car, engine, wheels, etc.
-at the end we used a floor finish product from walmart after the decals to give it a little extra shine
-total time spent about 30 hours over 3 weeks time.
-my wife and daughter did most of the painting and I did most of the assembly with some of their help.
-she will go on a shelf and we will enjoy!
