Quite a shelf queen and actually a very long term collaboration piece of work. I "inherited" this kit at some point in the late 90's or early 2000's, when our neighbours' son moved out and left me his remaining stash. This particular kit never really caught my interest as a few pieces of the engine were already assembled and my interest was mainly with 1/72 armor.
When getting back into modelling, I picked this kit because it looked like a nice re-entry to the hobby and would not require highly sophisticated weathering efforts.
The model was partly assembled, engine and interior painting was done with Revell Aqua Color acrylics by brush. The chassis was primed with Tamiya grey primer, sanded with sanding paper, sprayed with Revell Aqua Color acrylics (Italian Red, diluted with Army Painter airbrush medium) and sanded again with Tamiya sanding sponge. Gloss coat was sprayed with Revell Aqua Color, finishing was done with Tamiya polishing compound in different grades.
