A build of the East German late MiG-17F. These were actually mostly Polish license-built Lim-5s.
In the mid-1970s the DDR MiG-17s were modified to a Fighter-Bomber spec with the addition of a second set of inner pylons armed with MARS-2 rockets (similar to the Polish Lim-6 conversions although missing the tail-mounted brake parachute). During this refit they were also painted with the green/brown camouflage common in the LSK at the time.
All of these MiGs were retired or sold off by 1985. MiG-17F "300" (S/N:1C 06-30) now spends its days on display at the Luftfahrtmuseum Rothenburg.
