Another one! This was the spare kit I ended up buying so I could use the bonnet for the group build. The bonnet in this kit is the cracked one, which will need a fair bit of love to get looking right.

Engine looks wonderful. Could write down which metalics/metalizer you used?

CasModeler, thank you! The shiny stuff is SMS Super Silver, sprayed lightly at about 10-15psi. The rest is either SMS Aluminium (the lighter) or SMS Stainless Steel (the darker). I sprayed these at around 20-25psi at a distance to intentionally create orange peel, so that I could replicate that powder coated cast iron look. I then hit them with a flat coat. All metallics are over a black base.

Forgot to add... I also put a wash over the flat pieces using Tamiya Panel Liner. Black for accenting and Dark Brown for oil & dirt build up.

Waiting for some braided hoses to complete this build. The bonnet is frustrating so I'll wait until I'm in the right mindset for that. Then just 2k over the the rest and we're pretty much there!

I'm thinking I might steal the clear bonnet from the group build Skyline and show off this one a little more. The second bonnet is too stuffed to be clear now, so it can be a painted one for the GB Skyline. That one will have the added PE detail. I'll update the projects on here. 🙂
