Thx everyone.
Bill, I use my homemade wash being raw umber oil thined with humbrol thinner. Put this on and whipe of with a rag. Nothing more to it.

1/48 Tamiya build almost out of the box. I used the update set from Tamiya with the stifener plates.
Painted with Tamiya acrylic paints.
