Bendix Model J
Not a lot of parts, but a lot of flash! A good part of building will be cleaning up! No positioning pins or holes, so it's guess work. Lovely little kit!
Parts and sub assemblies primed. Instructions say engine bay is black, interior and rotor blades are yellow! That's all hard to believe. But there's so little info on this subject! If anyone has some sound advice...
You try to stick that through that hole yourself, mr. AMP!
I'm trying to get it look wrinkled. Every kit is an experiment!
to replace the unrealistic engraved grid with a very feebly PE one I cut out the plastic grid and glued it back a little bit to the inside of the fuselage.
Thus I could use the plastic grid as a support for the PE, because this was very hard to handle.
Et voila! It still snaps off very easily! How do I know??
I want the two fuselage halves ready as much as possible before putting everything together because there will be a number of holes in them which will be troublesome to mask off. The wrinkle effect of the skin is too much gone, I think.
I wanted to finish the fuselage halves as much as possible before building the interior and closing it up. Masking would be difficult otherwise.
Now starting on the interior details.
