Thank you mates! I have closed the fuselage and spent few evenings to correct, fill and rescribe wing panel lines and hatches. Mainly using SAM modellers datafile as a referrence.

I intend to build the desert scheme version of Beaufighter Ic (or early VIc as it looks to me) of 272 squadron in Malta. This will require to modify the tail plane to make it straight type and observers cupola. Will see how it goes 🙂

After studying reference pictures and expert opinions I decided to paint it in Temperate Sea Scheme insted of desert. Not very happy with how dark slate grey turned out, but it will do. So painting, postshading and hairspray chipping done. Photos before clear coat.

I think it looks quite good. What is it you are not liking about the grey? I think it has an overall faded look, which would be appropriate for sun and spray effects.

Thanks, John. It looked too green initially, but after overspray with sand colour and weathering layers it looks OK to me.
