A very enjoyable build. I have a soft spot for pickups, especially stepsides.
The kit was built OOB, except for the bed which I made out of wooden coffee stirrers, and I added some real chain on the tailgate. Lastly, I sanded off the moulded on wipers and replaced them with some items from Scale Production. They're rubber, which surprised me, but they work well on a model like this.
The box art show the mirrors on a "tripod" but those were so bulky they would have been out of scale on a 1/8 vehicle. I just sort of made something work. In fact, if I have to nominate a low point in the kit it's the mirrors. A bit too bulky if you ask me. Otherwise, a very nice build. I tried replicating the brownish/reddish colour but my mix wanted to stay on the brownish side, however I'm quite happy with it.
