Thanks everyone for the comments. I built the truck during one of those "I think I'll try something different moments". Not being an AFV builder I didn't realise it had so many wheels! It was a nice kit to build and experiment with weathering.

Fantastic! I just bought the SM.79 kit myself, now I know what to do with it!

I used the Lifecolor Italian camouflage set on the SM 79. They had to be thinned with water. It was very frustrating trying to get the right effect with a single action airbrush. It all had to come off after my first attempt. Perhaps I was expecting too much from the airbrush. Since that build I was treated to an Iwata double action airbrush which I tried out on a 1/32 Hasegawa Ki61. But that's another story.

A brand called Rai-Ro has camodecals in their stash. I have seen a model with those decals and it looked very nice! Maybe for the next time?
Cheers Holger

Thanks Holger for your tip about Rai-Ro. Went on their website today. Some of the products on the site I've never seen advertised in magazines. Will need to study the site a lot more. Thanks.
