Here is my weekends progress on the Grille the Gun is Done and i re-did the entire suspension so it could take Dragon's road wheels and sprockets and idler wheels so now all the suspension is dragon which should really help this kit out, I also used some spare dragon fenders the Eduard fenders are about as crappy as the kits and they are going the way of the trash unless someone wants them

strarted this thing too, what a crapy manual... never had so many obvious mistakes, i doubt they assebbled the kit before the release...
But there is some kind of motivation to finish this kit: Youtube Video 🙂

Holger thanks so far it going together pretty well the Eduard fenders just need the 4 longitudinal grooves pressed in them but once you do that with a pen i really distorted them so rather than messing with them any more it was easier to use the spare dragon fenders
Fabian im a pretty crappy modeller but that guy beats me, but at least he finished the kit, i like these older kits to help me improve my basic building techniques

Hi, William, you are right, older kits are more challenging. But i like making good models out of older (and cheaper) kits😉
But this Guy ... his way of replacing the tracks ... and painting ...
Have you assembled the tracks already? Mine didn't want to fit in the spocket- and drive wheels ...

Wise decision 🙂 i decided to use the supplied ones, which meant a lot of extra work... 🙁

my nickname is not-so 🙂, what i usually try to do when i run into that kinda situation is shave the teeth of the sprocket off and place them in the openings of the tracks and then place those links around the sprocket its not so bad, but the dragon parts are 1000 times better and worth the small effort all i did was find round sprue that fit inside the dragon road wheels drilled out the road arms and glue lengths of that sprue in the openings

For some reason i enjoy building these old crappy Alan and Mirage kits every now and then i bought this kit many moons ago and spent a small fortune amassing all these detail sets for it, then the dragon kit comes out, and to the bottom of the shelf this kit went now its going to get its time on the bench
