Dragon Panther A - First update.

This is indeed a nice kit. Good job so far 👍

Did you glue the wheels and tracks in place and will you paint them as part of the entire hull? Or did you dry-fit them, to be painted seperately at a later time?

Does the re-issue come with PE and a aluminum barrel? Funny thing about this kit, it comes with a "steel" tow cable but no hooks, I'm new to armor so I dont have much of a spares box to rely on.

I have alot of extras as far as hooks golol and I highly doubt it, its the exact same as the one you have

Update Two: Pretty much done with construction. I shot the base coat of dunkelgelb today. Probably do the camo tomorrow. I hope you like it.

I like it so far,
if you eant an even better paint job, take a lightened color of the base color (in this case add white to the color you used for a base) then spray the lightened olor in the middle of the panels. Ex all flat faces that are separated by an angle ar are co, pletly separate. Like the face plate, both sides of the turret, the back and top of the turret, the sidd walls of the panther etc. But leave the base color shown on the edges and fill the middle very lightly with the lightened color

Thanks Hunter. I was going to do some filters and a little fading before a light weathering, But I might as well try a little modulation too. thanks for the suggestion.

My latest. Dragon's Panther A. It took me roughly 40 hrs. It is finished in Vallejo Model Air and Testor Model Master Acryl paints. Weather with Mig, Vallejo, and AK Interactive washes, oils, and pigments. As this is my first tank model any tips and pointers would be appreciated

how did you weather the tracks??
and how did you make the 2 go over the back hatch so well ?

The tracks are kinda simple. First, I airbrushed a coat of Testor's aircraft Interior black. Actually a dark and faded gray. Then a misting of Tamiya buff. Next I used AK Interactive's Track wash (AK 083) It dries a bit glossy, so I suggest a coat of your favorite matt varnish. Finally, I gave the tracks and sprockets a dry brushing of gunmetal. I use a mix of Vallejo German grey 995 and natural steel 864. The mud and dusting is just a blend of various Vallejo and Mig Pigments and Thinner. As for the number 2 decal on the turret hatch, I had to cut out the numbers individually and trim the clear film away completely. I applied them over future floor polish using Micro sol. As the decal began to shrivel up I carefully cut around the hatch and hinges using a brand new number 11 blade. Yes, high drama in modelling. I was both relieved and quite pleased with the results.
