@ Hanno: Danke Dir für den Link. Ist aber wirklich zu teuer. Ich habe für mein Geraffel gerade mal 4€ bezahlt. FROG Kits kennt ja auch fast niemand mehr der jünger als 50 Jahre ist.

Mike.. Willkommen in der Altersgruppe Plastikmodellbau. Mit der ganzen Sch... im Hirn kann ich Strassen pflastern und mein Stash reicht eh bis 2060. Also machen wir doch einfach so weiter. Hat bis jetzt Spaß gemacht und wird sich auch nicht ändern. 🙂

Rigging Time!
For the wings I used EZ-Line, the floats were rigged with 0,45mm brass wire. Time to paint now.

Na, das flutscht ja ! Bin mal gespannt wie Du das mit dem Abkleben machst,,unter der Verspannung. Ich hab mich das nicht getraut, und die Verspannung hinterher gemacht. Bei der Macchi weiß ich noch nicht wie ich vorgehen soll......

Danke Dir Hanno! Da die Verspannung aus Gummifaden ist kann man beim abkleben ruhig mal daneben greifen. Das tut der Verspannung nix 🙂 Lackieren werde ich den Vogel wie folgt: Grundierung Humbrol No.1 um das eine oder andere Fehlerchen zu beheben , dann glänzend schwarz über Alles. Blau da wo das muss, dann abkleben und den Rest in Alclad Silber. Klarlack drauf und fertig... Das ist der Plan, genug Potenzial das Ganze zu versemmeln ist aber auch noch vorhanden. 🙂

EZ- Line gibt es in verschiedenen Stärken. Geht eigentlich für alle Maßstäbe.

Having the same kit in work for a few years, I still wonder whether the two horizontal struts between the floats should be there or not. Can anyone point me to an image that shows these two struts?

Ich glaube das diese "Streben" zwischen den Schwimmern eigendlich Verspannungen aus Flachstahl waren. Beim Frog Bausatz sind sie völlig überdimensioniert, aber vom Querschnitt her richtig. Ich denke das haben die "Frogs" damals so gemacht um den Bau des Modells zu vereinfachen. Schau mal hier:

Super, danke. Da treibe ich mich ewig auf Prime Portal herum,a ber den Walkaround dr S6B habe ich verpennt. Deine Deutung macht Sinn, andernfalls wäre der Bausatz nur mit Hilfe einer Jig hinzubekommen. 🙂
