👍 You always do such a nice job rescribing these old kits Mike. Do you always use the same shade of wash to highlight light them or is it adjusted for the base colour?

Thanks again. @Ray I adjust the wash colour according to the camo. For light grey aircraft such as the F-5, I mix blue, brown and black watercolor and flow it into the panel lines.

Good looking kit. But the shape of the nose seems to be to short compared with real F-5 E pictures.

Impressive what you were able to do with the kit Mike! I'm building it now and also re-scribing the panel lines.

Album info
There are several more accurate, modern 1/72 toolings of the F-5E but I was asked by 'Scale Aviation Modelling Int'l' magazine to build the Airfix kit for an article, a few years ago. Apart from adding the LEXs and creating the platypus nose, the kit was rescribed and the cockpit detailed. The ACMI pod and the AIM-9 missile were scratch built, and the ladder is a PP Aeroparts photo-etch item. Bahraini AF markings were home made.
