Aeroflot Giant Soviet Helicopter
Eyeing up the parts
Fitting the windows. Cabin windows a reasonable fit, nose windows not so much!
Fuselage glued and strapped up.
A bit more force to clamp the warped fuselage sections together.
Assembling the rest of the fuselage parts; also painted out interior. Should have done that first, it was fiddly with a long brush!
Filling...
White primer.
Silver applied (I used "5 wheel silver" car paint) and baking on with the patio heater.
Decals on before adding landing gear. Long rotors glued and held firm with wooden pegs.

Finished all bar a little snagging to perfect it.
A difference between the original VEB and this Playfix box art is that the original shows two red stripes on the landing wheel fairings. I had two decals left and wondered what they were for!

Stumbled on one in a job lot and liked it ...but it had bits missing so I hunted another one down. Built it on New Year Eve, just added a bit of weathering and the last couple of decals to finish it today.
