After assembling the hull, a cutout was made into the base
The base is ready to accept the model
One of the most complex items, the fore mast
Most subassemblies were completed as per kit instructions
The early main mast mainly consists of PE
This is where I store my subassemblies that are ready for painting
To enhance the look of the wheelhouse, the bridge window frames were added from PE ladder stock
The model has been painted
The completed model has been crewed, weathered and flatcoated. Now it is ready to be mounted on its base.

Following my HMS Glamorgan build, I also built the Type 21 kit by Atlantic Models. It was a pleasant experience, and I´m quite happy with the look of the completed model. Hardly any aftermarket items were used, mainly a machined brass gun barrel, produced by Master and available via Atlantic Models, and some NorthStar figures.
