DONE ! ....Pilatus PC-6 Triple Build
The application of "Fred's" decals went good,....
...the decals film is of good quality and transfer from paper to model went good.
Dispite to Fredi I had my challenges with Elise's paint scheme,....
...The film was pretty old and during application it broke apart in "1000" pieces. Finaly the flash in the back is a kind of flash (20+ segments) but applied too far at the rear. Bad luck.
The straight military paint scheme went easy and was necessary to calm down after the screwed Blue Elise. 🙂
A pic of the sprue - as you can see: short run quality of course 🙂 that's why we love modelling, right?
original tyres vs resin tyres from IPMS Austria conversion kit
changed to PE antenna parts as well
also propeller and spinner from resin conversion kit
my 3 NEW prop's
PE action....
the cabin air vent exhausts
drilled a hole on my antenna socket
dry fit of antenna & socket
spare cabin windows,.... vacu-formed
bottom fully equiped (PE's on,...yes, tyres still missing)
Also bottom side of Blue Elise quite finished now,... pilots door steps not on yet.
A view on Fredis bottom....

Lukasz, 🙂 thx for your interest.
I will put together the progress on painting/decal and photo-etched parts. Unfortunattly I have made less pic's during the challenging assembly. ....

All decals are on! I had my troubles with Blue Fred. The film was already old when the kit went on my stash 10 years ago. A surfacer prior to giving the sheets in the water bath did help a lot, but still the scheme broke in pieces during transfer. I was close to run for the airbrush to apply the flash on the rear section with paint instead of decals. ...

Same advice as for Donald :. Scan your special decals before using them, so that you can print a replacement if you have trouble.

Btw, Roden has this (Pilatus Turbo Porter) kit in 1:48 scale, and they are ok, but some fiddling is required. I've built two of those from Roden.

Bottom side of "Blue Elise" - done. "Fred" is still waiting,.... looking forward to attached the last details (antennas, exhausts,...) on the upper side of my 3 birds to finally finish this project.

Wow, they look stunning! Now everyone wanting to build another PC-6 will have a problem deciding which livery to choose (like me) 😄

@All - thx for your motivating comments. It seems that Der Bunte Fredi is our favourit.
