Very cool Flanker. Does the kit require major changes to represent the Ukrainian version?

Honestly I wasn't that precise but the Ukrainians use the Su-27P1M which has the IRST mounted in the center of the cockpit. There might be other minor changes but as I said, I did not go into detail too much😉

My god, what are these things beautiful in that fantastic bleu color scheme. Much more interestig (from a purely modellers point of view) than those grey-grey-grey US planes.

A real cool scheme and an impressive cool build. Even more considering that we talk 72. great!

Very nice, and I much appreciate the attention for surrounding the plane with some equipment.

On your question about Vallejo primers in the video, I can only give you one advice: Do NOT use it, toss it in the bin.
But cleaning and degreasing the surface before painting (with whatever paint) remains a good advice.

Thanks Frankie! I haven't used Vallejo primer anymore after this Sukhoi. I mostly use Mr. Finishing Surfacer nowadays but I still don't clean my kits 🙂

I am not claiming that I am fanatic about it, but I do clean surfaces before airbrushing, and I always prime. Often I sue the primer of the brand of paint I am going to use.
Cleaning for me means that I go over the surface with a piece of tissue that doesn't leave any dust behind on the surface but is slightly wet with isopropanol. This is sufficient to remove fingerprints (that for instance when you use a metaliser from Alclad become very prominent once airbrushed) or other greasy stuff.
I do this as last stage before airbrushing the primer
