the SdKfz 251 had excellent road and cross-country performance and armoured protection. The two MG 34 machine guns which could be fired from inside the vehicle. To provide extra protection the crew has mounted track links to the front.
Sd.Kfz.251 Ausf.B - Suffering from heavy fighting in Russia, many armored formations were transferred to occupied France for refitting. There, new equipment was supplied and fresh troops were integrated and trained
