![Album image #2 Album image #2](/albums/img/5/3/9/813539-18821-72-720.jpg)
After a couple of hours, the main parts are glued together and ready to paint.
![Album image #3 Album image #3](/albums/img/5/3/2/813532-18821-15-720.jpg)
the chassis is painted.

Only some paintings on the chassis
![Album image #5 Album image #5](/albums/img/3/8/5/816385-18821-56-720.jpg)
The next parts are painted.
![Album image #6 Album image #6](/albums/img/1/0/6/821106-18821-72-720.jpg)
The power train is in it's place.
![Album image #7 Album image #7](/albums/img/1/0/7/821107-18821-44-720.jpg)
The interior is done too. Heading for the paintjob.
![Album image #8 Album image #8](/albums/img/5/3/5/854535-18821-12-720.jpg)
The first layer of the paint is done. Simply black.
![Album image #9 Album image #9](/albums/img/8/9/4/862894-18821-45-720.jpg)
A paint restart. After the paintjob (clear cote) failed, the paint is stripped. I'm overthinking the color at all. Maybe it wont appear in black again.

![Album image #11 Album image #11](/albums/img/7/2/9/908729-18821-95-720.jpg)
Second try. Now it's ok. Only the hood and rear door didn't work out.
![Album image #12 Album image #12](/albums/img/9/3/7/917937-18821-23-720.jpg)
Almost ready to mount all the parts.
![Album image #13 Album image #13](/albums/img/9/3/8/917938-18821-37-720.jpg)
Done. So it will sit until tomorrow to be sure, the parts stay where they should stay.

Did you hand paint the exhaust system after spraying whole chassis black? Great work. Any priming?

Yes I did. All the details at the chassis are worked out afterwards.
Thank you!

Nicely done, very meticulous work! Attention to details...That's the only reason I'd mention this....the fuel tanks on these trucks were a kind of black poly plastic with metal straps, with a kind of rubber insulator between the tank and strap.
Not that anyone will know if you leave it, it creates a nice color contrast

Oh man, you're right. The car is to new to have fuel tanks made of aluminum or sheet metal. Hm. I don't know whether to change it or leave it as is. My dilemma. I'm thinking about it.

The last parts are in work. The engine hood and tail gate will become another layer of clear cote. Then I think it's done.

Album info
To compare the conversion from the Chevy to the GMC, I decided to build a Chevy right out of the box. So at the end this one should clearly show what has been changed for the built of the GMC.
