consisted of 3 Battalions: 14th, 78th, and 92nd Field Artillery Battalions. Batteries were equipped with SP and towed 105mm Howitzers. The Battalions landed in Morocco with SP T19 Halftrack mounted 105mm Howitzers and towed guns. By the time of Operation Husky, the T19s were replaced with M7 105mm HMCs. After Sicily (Husky), the Regiment landed in Normandy (DD+3) and remained in theater throughout the duration. They took part in clearing the Normandy Bocage, Operation Cobra and breakout of Normandy, Belgium, Germany, Battle of the Bulge, Ruhr Pocket, and, eventually arriving at the Elbe by VE Day.
