MetalEarth Apollo Lunar Rover
Halfway down page 2 of 8
"tyres" now complete - put the "chassis" aside for a while
missed a day of photo - no power at home yesterday, but this is the result - i reinforced some of the vertical parts with glue.
More accessories attached, cameras, antennas, battery box
With the final "mating" complete - this steps to be taken very cautiously.
In the end it all goes together quite well.
Wheels are a little askew, moon-mudguards are horrible!
but it looks OK
now, are there any MetalEarth Moon Astronauts?
There's no steering wheel - how did they drive this thing?
There's a power pedal engraved in the footplate
and a very cute little samples case up front - that's "The Boot", right??
Done!!

Some subjects suit the MetalEarth format better than others. This is one that really suits, especially when such a good job of assembly is done as is the case here. 👍

Continuing on my "Space" theme with MetalEarth.
Pretty tricky build, especially the final page where you have to marry the chassis with the upper body.
Oh, and the "moon-mudguards" are horrible - would be better sliced into smaller segments.
End result is still pretty cool!!!
