gorbyI wonder if it's thin perspex which has been heated to form the undulations of the surface. It is possible to buy rippled perspex which does look like the surface of water.

Kit HeadleyI think that's most likely. Haircell texture clear thermoformed acrylic. Eventually I'm going to try that for a more modern sub.
