Man Overboard
Getting an idea of the staging..
PE shark and priming some figures and the boat..
The F1M2 Pete, with an custom PE prop. The plane came from a Waterline Series W Sprue (from a Tamiya or Aoshima ship kit I think)
Painting the seafloor and preparing the jungle..
A first resin pour to make the water, parts ready for assembly.
Man overboard!
Man overboard!
Man overboard!

I agree with everyone above. Once again, from you, something original, creative and fun - I very much like your approach to modelling! 👍

thanks everyone for the comments, I wasn't sure what kind of reaction this oddball build would get here. The "Walnut Challenge" is perhaps proving that sometimes a constraint can really help free up the creativity .. and building a diorama inside a walnut is a pretty severe constraint! It is also a good way of using up some of those left over detail sprues that come in the 1:700 waterline kits😉

I would be out there looking for the worlds biggest walnut. What a clever idea!

Awesome. I've got some 1/700 scale builds planned, and this is great inspiration!

shucks, thanks for all the very positive reactions. Who said the critics here were a tough nuts to crack?! The "Walnut Challenge" is still ongoing and this isn't even close to the best one there, so encourage anyone to check it out if this kind of thing interests you facebook.com/groups/700475447967102
