Highway Pioneers

Gowland and Gowland designed and copyrighted a series of 1:32 cars in the early 1950s that were instrumemtal in lauching the the plastic kit hobby and restructuring Revell. Two earlier (late 40's) action toy cars in 1:16 were also later sold as kits. The Highway Pioneers were sold in different series and arrangements in the USA and UK. Licensed and unlicensed copy appeared in many markets. Variations appeared into the late 20th century.
