Marcus B.
Out of the box build. The kit is not without its issues, most serious is the fact that the front edges of the fuselage don't fit with the nose. This means that one needs to fill and sand, which in this particular position isn't all that fun, as the little plexiglas part in the nose just begs to be scratched. Instructions and components for assembly of the landing gear are frustrating - one needs to guess the right position of 'plates' to which the undercarriage is to be glued. If you guess wrong, there is nothing that can be done to correct it, since by the time you'll discover the mistake, the part in question is snuggly encapsulated in engine cowling assembly. If that happens, you'll need to wing it and bore new holes in which wheels can be put.
On the positive side, it is a simple kit of a beautiful airplane and with a bit of TLC, it actually looks the part. I am quite pleased with it. The only thing I'd like to improve is the painting of cockpit framing - I don't mask, but freehand paint with brush and then 'clean up' the mistakes with a toothpick. Sometimes it works, in this case not so much.
