From an original 1977 MPC Un-touched Kit bought from ebay last year.

Mostly OOB, but I built a set of Side vents to add this missing detail from these kits. I now have the capability to create resin moulds so am planning to create better side vents using impressions from the lower front vents, for the other kits in my stash.

Also scribed in correct shoulder panel line detail as kit has panel join in the wrong place. Not happy with the detail below the main eye, this is the best I could achieve with paint. Again future plans to create new, accurate domes for other kits.

This unit's dome has been left loose for future addition of LED lighting, with holes cut in clear parts for the multi flashing lights, and projector drilled for the Leia message projection.

Main body took a lot of filler and shaping to deal with misalignment of those old 1977 moulds for the body halves. Also Until you install the lower skirt, the body is not properly round.

Standard kit (and this incarnation) lacks centre leg side tubes, and side legs do not swing back far enough to strike correct pose.

Plenty of work to do to improve future builds. (I have 5 other MPC kits in Stash) planning to do Droids from the Naboo Cruiser Droid Crew & R5-D4.
