@Rando: I am happy you found the time to read the text. There is an even more just under this comment section, I am not sure you saw it. I am indeed trying to prepare for each of my models such short articles. Most of us do such "research" in a form or another anyway, why not try to communicate it further?

RandoIndeed I did read it all! Researching the subjects I build is just as much a part of modeling as anything else to me, so I enjoy seeing what others come up with. You also inspired me to build a MiG-19, that plane has such sweet lines.

Kyle DeHartI'll be building it and displaying the box, my friend. Perhaps not a wonderful old kit but I think it'll be fun to have the old one next to the new tool Coupe I built previously. I also have a glue bomb rebuilder of it which I'll need as this poor thing has some of the worst tire burn I've ever had the misfortune of seeing. 😂😂

BozzerI believe that it's the first tooling of the kit I have? I made myself a promise, that one day, when I get the space, I'll display all my first editions. However, right now, I can't swing a bloody cat, in my cave, for all the kits I have! Thankfully, the Mrs is home now, and already into her first kit, so I've got some help.

AndreasKOk, riveting is time-consuming but also relaxing. I gave the wing a wash to check the result. Looking good so far. I just hope that it will be still visible after paint job

AndreasKToday I began the painting process for the 234. Sprayed RLM66 on the canopy and also used this for preshading of the upperside. Preshading of the underside was done with Intermediate Blue. I tried these colours instead of the usual black to obtain less contrast to the base coats and make it blend better. Hopefully...

AndreasKWith the engine outlets and canopy frames done, painting comes to an end. Especially the latter was very tedious in terms of masking. But I am satisfied with the result 😃

William JoelVery nice. Amazing detail on the cockpit, looks impressive.
I have 2 old Ar 234 in progress, but the cockpits, or should I say lack of, that came with the kit just don't compare. I did a bit of scratch building, but just so something could be seen.
Question - what size wire did you use for the cockpit?

ΔΠVery beautiful model! I really like it, especially the riveting and the cockpit. Did you treat the cockpit windows in any way, or are they straight out of the box? That would surprise me with Revell, to be honest 😉

AndreasKThe canopy had some scratches, so I sanded and polished it a bit.
@William: it is copper wire, but I do not know the size. I will measure it and get back to you.

BozzerYeah, I agree with Martin. This has always been a kit, I wanted to get my hands on. I actually saw the built model, at Bolton IPMS in January. Those tyres are amazing and the vehicle itself, looked almost space-like.

Mike Blackwell@SCM Data suggestionsFor some reason, the Heller, Lodela, Blue Ribbon and Revell timelines of the 1/450 Boeing 747 aren't connected to each other on their individual pages, even though the "Manage Timeline" areas confirm that they're linked. The only places that hint at their being the same tooling are the master timelines for that subject and scale:
