Rudy PoseikaI got what I ORDERED, not what I wanted!!! I guess I missed the part number for what I ordered was for a Stearman Kaydet 0- it was just for a 1/32 model !!! The web site HAS what I wanted but am not ordering again....

SkyhikerYou should spray white on before applying yellow. Yellow is almost always translucent and needs a decent color underneath. Grey underneath will make it look dirty and give it a green tint and it will be impossible to put enough layers of yellow on to cover the grey.

Rudy PoseikaThe yellow look is not what was expected but it does have depth. I may try a few tricks closer to completion.

Antony TheocharidisUnfortunately Arma Models is russian so it might be very difficult to get them right now, especially since they already sold to very few re-sellers even in Europe before the current events. Maybe try ebay sellers?

Sprue LegendTry contacting i-modelist. I have been able to get kits through them. Got the Ka-52 preo order with all the 3Dprinted Am parts an an arma model Kinzhal off them. Shipping took about a month with Russian post.

Sprue LegendI ve just spoken to i-modelist and they told me that they will do it. I am also tempted by the Mi-28 but I will hold out for the zvezda injection molded version

Stéphane Jayet@bossy122, frankly speaking, I don't know yet. 2 options on the table : option 1 is to cut the decals from the box, option 2 is to do some masking (using tracing paper on the original decals). Option 2 is my preferred option so far.
I already painted the body twice because I had some issues with the masking tape (removing the paint), so hope it will work at first try....

bossy122Can you copy the kits pinstripe then print your own? A little white on one side and a little yellow on the other, covering up any tapes leaks as well.

Stéphane JayetHello, I made a kind of combination. Since I was afraid not to get the same yellow colour, I printed the pinstripe on white decal paper, when cutting it I let a small part of the white to have it clean. The difficult part was to have no white on the other side. I had to cut and redo couple of times.
Unfortunately, I realised later that I should have done differently as it was very difficult /impossible to have the large black part parallel to the pinstripe....

Andrej BassichThx.😎👍🏻 You're right It was all in OD but I just want to put my personal touch on the dullness of monochromatic look. And who can say that there wasn't something similar during the war period. 😉 There's plenty of work ahead.

Mr JamesYou're right Andrej, OD is dull and it would be a pity to cover up that nice wood effect. I've started this kit and left it in frustration as my OD paintwork is monochrome and dull. My shading isnt as good as yours.

Desert MarlinMr. James, I have used Vallejo UD Olive Drab with shading using Tamiya Panel Line accent and then coated with AlClad Flat Coat. My P-38J project. Seemed okay to me. Perhaps you could resurrect your project?
